February 2024

The first SPD prototype was produced in my garage using a 3D printer.

March 2024

With the assistance of Dr. Mark Houghton, the concept and design were refined, patent applications were filed with the IPO. From that point, it was full steam ahead.

August 2024

After months of testing and refining the design for optimal production and function, the MK I design was finalized. Independent testing conducted at the University of Lincoln verified that the SPD is at least five times more effective at preserving the contents of silicone, caulk, and adhesive compared to improvised resealing methods. The first batch of SPDs was produced under license by silicone manufacturer JWB International Ltd.

September 2024

Johnny's SPD made its debut in its first retail store and sold out in just one week.
